Ravinder Raina’s ‘sympathy & love’ for Azad raises many eye-brows

Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 29: J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina’s new-found love and sympathy for Congress stalwart Ghulam Nabi Azad has raised many eye-brows. After recent turmoil in Congress, Raina has started lavishing praise on Azad who among 23 other leaders have written a controversial letter.
BJP president has appreciated Azad, who is under attack from loyalists of Rahul Gandhi, for showing dissent in the dynastic Congress.
While addressing a function at Kathua on Friday, Raina indirectly hailed Azad for writing the letter. Raina took a dig at Congress upon the statement given by senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad ‘who is also leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha as well as served on various key constitutional posts of the government as well as the Congress party’
Ravinder Raina said that feeling Suffocation in Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad has openly spoken on the growing dissent in the party and it clearly proves that Congress party has no internal democracy.
Indirectly hailing Azad, Raina said that the Congress party has denied the right to speak to its workers, curbed internal democracy and always taken forward its one time agenda to serve the interests of a single ruling family.
Credible sources in the BJP said that Raina has given this statement as a well thought strategy to lure supporters of Azad in J&K in general and Jammu province in particular. “BJP leadership is very much aware that Azad has supporters in almost all districts of Jammu province and hailing leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha would give a good message among these supporters”, sources said.
