Jammu, 29: Jammu Sanskriti School (JSS) Jammu celebrated “National Sports Day” through virtual mode today in the benignant presence of Rashid Choudhary-Inspector of Police, as the Chief Guest for the occasion, Harpreet Singh Anand (Chairperson of Jammu Sanskriti School), Rohini Aima (Principal cum Vice Chairperson, Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu), Mili R.Sumbraia (Principal Jammu Sanskritti School, Kathua).
The event commenced by welcome address by Trishna Sharma (CCA COORDINATOR) followed by virtual presentation of saplings to Chief Guest by Rohini Aima. The students of the school displayed their talent in different games and sports and won the heart of all the dignitaries present on the occasion which culminated with a motivating song by Gulshan Kumar (Music Teacher).
Speaking on the occasion, Rashid Choudhary, appreciated various events organized by the school, wherein the selective students took part with great enthusiasm. He also appreciated the team of coaches who did a commendable job in training the students.
He has thrown light on the importance of National Sports Day and highlighted the achievement of Major Dyan Chand after who’s name this day is celebrated throughout the country. He also apprised the students that on this day different awards are distributed among the sports players in different categories.
