KISHTWAR, Aug 29: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Mohammad Hanief Malik, today initiates the blacktopping work on 15.900 km stretch of Nagini-Keshwan road and inspected MGNREGA works in Panchayat Keshwan B.
Chairman, Block Development Council Thakrie, Kishori Lal Shan; XEn PMGSY, Bashir Ahmed Khandey; AEE PMGSY, Zahir Abbas; besides Sarpanchs of Keshwan A, Keshwan B and locals among others were present on the occasion. The work of the PMGSY road taken up by Division Kishtwar is estimated to cost Rs 10.02 crore. The XEn PMGSY informed that the work on the said road commenced in June 2018 and the macdamisation is projected to be completed in all respect by October 2020. The ADDC asked the XEn PMGSY to ensure the quality of work and complete it in a stipulated time frame by following SOPs for COVID19 pandemic at work places.
Enroute, the ADDC, along with the Sarpanch Keshwan B Mohammad Saleem and RDD officials also inspected the MGNREGA works in the Panchyat executed during the year 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21. The works include construction of bridal path, Water tanks, protection walls, sanitary works etc. He directed the RDD officials as well as concerned PRIs to install/ display CIBs of all the works executed particularly for the year 2018- 2019 before his next visit in the first week of September.
