Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul celebrates Annual Day

Katra, Aug 31: Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul, Charan Paduka, Katra, celebrated its Annual Day. In this context, Pooja, Havan and other activities were organised as part of the function.
Dr. Ashok Bhan, Member Shrine Board and Chairman of the Governing Council for Gurukul; Ramesh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; Prof. Y. K. Mishra and Prof. Vishwamurty Shastri, members of the Governing Council; and Dr. Sunil Sharma, Dy. CEO of the Shrine Board and Administrator of the Gurukul; besides the faculty, staff and more than one hundred students of the Gurukul participated in the Annual Day function through online mode.
Dr. Bhan congratulated the management, staff and students of the Gurukul on the Annual Day function of the institution and lauded the students for excelling in academics as well as in co-curricular activities. He also appreciated the efforts for organising online classes for the students of the Gurukul since the lockdown and conducting online internal tests for continuously evaluating their level of preparation. He further emphasised the need for inculcating moral and ethical values among the students alongside focussing on academics and co-curricular activities for their all round personality development. Ramesh Kumar, CEO of the Shrine Board also congratulated the entire faculty and students and appreciated that besides organising the online classes, special online practical sessions for Yagya, Havan, Karam Kand etc. were organised for the students with the objective of imparting them practical training. On this occasion, the students and teachers of the Gurukul presented Vedic and Puranic Mangalacharan and bhajans, etc. through online mode. Dr. Dhananjay Mishra, Principal of the Gurukul presented the annual report of the institution.
