JKTMA demanded transparency in preparation of seniority list | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 31: Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association (JKTMA) has welcomed the decision of Chief education officer Ramban on repatriation of Ret teachers from general line teachers post to their original school of engagement under SSA scheme. While interacting with the media, Association members said, “ReT teachers are engaged on school specific post on the recommendation of village education committee (VEC) but due to their transfer on Non plan General line teachers post there becomes a mismatch between number of General line teachers and General line teachers post resulting in shortage of General line teachers post which compels the Education authorities to transfer/appoint GLT against master grade post as they become surplus and it also created problems of drawl of their salary “. District President Udhampur Ajay Mathur urged the Principal secretary Dr Asgar Samoon to bring transparency and accountability in the process of inclusion of names of PG Teachers/master in the seniority lists of different subjects by Gazetted section of school education department in civil secretariat by using tracking system of file as it is complained by many teachers that despite submitting files repeatedly through proper channel in DSEJ there name is not included in the seniority list; which is a grave issue. “Singh also sensed a conspiracy in the civil secretariat school education department of deliberately non-inclusion of names of Teachers/Masters in seniority list of their respective subjects or to drop the names of seniors only to promote juniors who are their near and dear or due to some other reason better known to them” . |
