| Jammu students assail JKBOSE’s discriminatory notification, hold protest | | |

JAMMU, Sept 2:Assailing Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education (JKBOSE) for issuing a discriminatory notification, several students belonging to Jammu (Summer Zone) region staged a protest here today at Gol Market, Gandhi Nagar.
Demanding “justice for Jammu students”, the protesting students alleged that the recent notification of JKBOSE issued on August 31 is biased as it has allowed promotion of the students of Winter Zone (Kashmir) to next grade on the basis of their two subjects passing in the previous year but this notification is not applicable to the students of Jammu (Summer Zone). Shouting slogans against the Board authorities, the protesters said that this notification is gross injustice with the students of Jammu (Summer Zone). While talking to media persons, student activist Prateek Raina said that JKBOSE always does injustice with the students of Jammu while the students of Kashmir always get a special preference, adding that with the issuance of such a biased notification they again did the same thing. While another student activist Piyush Raina said that the JKBOSE has to do justice with the students of Jammu (Summer Zone) Jammu otherwise they will have to bear the consequences.
