Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 2: The successive government orders calling for detachment of attached officials have been violated in this district with an employee of Department of Agriculture continuing to be attached for the past more than one year or so. Early Times has learnt from sources that Yudhvir Singh, Junior Agriculture Extension Officer (JAEO) posted at Sunderbani continues to be attached for the past one year or so. Yudhvir was first attached with Agriculture Sub-Division Nowshera and recently has been attached with Chief Agriculture Officer (CAO) Rajouri. Talking to Early Times, Yudhvir said that it was the decision of the department to attach him with Sub-Division Office, Rajouri first and then with the office of CAO, Rajouri. He said that he has to follow the orders and there is nothing personal or special with regards to his attachment. “I am a government employee and I carry out my job according to government orders issued from time to time. I am bound to join my new place of posting failing which action would be taken against me. I have no personal motive in this regard and it is the wish of officers to attach me,” said Yudhvir. A senior officer in the Department of Agriculture on the condition of anonymity told Early Times that since the issue has been brought up he would enquire about the matter. The officer said that officers behind the issuance of attachment orders would be taken to task. In the meantime, locals have urged the people at helm to initiate stern action against the officers who defy government orders such as detachment of attached officers or officials. |
