Congress closes its HQs for one week due to Covid-19 | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Sep 2: Congress party has closed its main Party Headquarters in Jammu and Srinagar for a period of one week, for routine political activities, in view of the worsened covid-19 situation in Jammu and Kashmir. This was notified by the party’s chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma- Advocate (EX-MLC) here today, in view of the worsening covid-19 situation in Jammu region and Kashmir valley, as 15 deaths have been reported during the past 24 hours besides around 500 positive cases reported during the period. Sharma disclosed that the party leadership decided to observe close down of its office and suspended routine party activities except urgent issues. The party appealed to the party leaders and workers to maintain safety measures for themselves as well as for others in their vicinity and aware the people to take due care in view of the worsening situation. The party asked the Govt. to gear up the necessary measures for ensuring the safety of the people and provide all requisite facilities in the hospitals and quarantine Centers. The party has expressed concern over the increased infections cases, while there are several shortcomings in the system to deal with the situation.
