Jammu, Sept 2: Rank ceremony of NCC Cadets 2nd J&K (Boys) Battalion NCC Jammu was held today at Govt. MAM PG College under the supervision of Maj. Dr. Karan Singh, Associate NCC Officer,2 J&K Boys Bn. and under the able-guidance of Dr. G.S.Rakwal, Principal of the College .
Col. J.S.Kataria, Commanding Officer of 2nd J&K (Boys) Battalion NCC Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. Deepak Digra, SP South Jammu was special invitee on the occasion. The chief guest Col. J.S.Kataria,in his address to the cadets described the role of NCC in nation building and appreciated the efforts of the College in providing the required platform to the youth.
He also urged the cadets to work with utmost dedication for the honor and welfare of the country. A total of 20 cadets were allowed to participate in the event after obtaining negative report of Covid-19 test. Other guests and faculty members present in the event were Inspector Gautam Singh, SHO Gandhi Nagar, Prof. PS Thakur, Dr. Namita Singh and Prof. Anil Singh. Senior cadet Rohit conducted the proceedings of event and formal vote of thanks was presented by Maj. Dr. Karan Singh, Associate NCC Officer,2 J&K Boys Bn.
The Ranks were given to the cadets as include SUO Lokesh Loch, SUO Ranjan Kumar Verma, JUO Manpreet Singh, JUO Sahil Mattoo, JUO Ashish Choudhary, JUO Parshant Sayal, SGT Ajay Kumar Bali, SGT Vishal Digra.
