Renzushah demands probe into burglary at Dastgeer Sahib | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Sept 13: Condemning the burglary incident in the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) in Khanyar area of Srinagar last night, the chairman Jamaat Aitqaad International Khwaja Farooq Renzushah has demanded to bring the perpetrators of the crime to book. The brazen incident wherein burglars decamped with cash after breaking into the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani needs to be thoroughly probed, said Rezushah. He said that breach of security of the Sanctum Sanctorum where holy relics and Tabrookaat are placed, has sent shock waves among people of Sufi Aitqaad throughout the valley. The chairman Jamaat Aitqaad International, Renzushah, after listening about the incident immediately rushed to the holy dargah where he offered Namaz along with a large number of devotees. The Sajadah Nisheen of Gausul Pak dargah, Khalid Geelani, Imam of holy Shrine Nazir Qadri and hundreds of devotees present their informed Khwaja Renzushah about the shocking incident. Later, Renzushah appealed to Lt Governor to promulgate orders to keep holy Sufi Aitqaad shrines under the custody of responsible personalities of local Sufi Aitqaad who believe in protecting and restoring the spiritual importance of all 7777 Awaliyas of Kashmir without any discrimination. He said that today's incident needs to be treated as an offence against the majority of Aitqaad of Kashmir whose sentiments have been hurt. |
