Jammu, Sept 13: A CRPF man killed his wife, himself and left his sister-in-law seriously wounded after he entered into a verbal duel with his family on intervening night of 12-13 September.
According to sources, the CRPF man identified as constable Madan Singh Chib, who was attached with Sector Headquarters, entered into an argument with his wife and sister-in-law over some issue after which he fired at his wife Deepti Rani and sister-in law Deepak Rani resident of Aghar, with his service weapon and later shot himself dead as well.
“His wife died on the spot while his sister-in-law sustained injuries and was hospitalized,” sources said, adding that in the incident the CRPF man and his wife died on the spot and his sister-in-law sustained injuries who has been shifted to hospital for treatment and is serious.
“Eight-year-old daughter of the CRPF man was also present on the occasion, but she is safe,” the CRPF official said.
They further said Ghaorta Police after autopsy of both bodies Madan and his wife Deepti, late this evening handed over the family deceased. “Investigation in the case has begun, it is also being investigated, who the cop managed to bring his service weapon at home”, a senior Police Officer told ET, adding that the incident took place late last night. “Despite apprehension of tension, the situation is under control in the area”, he added.
