Industrial sector generating pollution, not employment in Samba: Manjit Singh | | | EArly times Report
SAMBA, Sept 13: Apni Party has demanded intervention of the Government for employment of local educated youth in the industrial sector of the district. In a statement to the press, Provincial President and Former Minister Manjit Singh said that “The industrial units in Samba do not employ local youth and instead prefers non- locals being employed. We are getting pollution in the name of the industrial sector.” He said that the mining has also been snatched from the locals and given to outsiders which will not be tolerated by the people. Manjit Singh was presiding over the function organised at Saroor Adda in Vijaypur. In this function over 30 people joined the Apni Party. Speaking on the occasion, Apni Party leader Choudhary Saleem Alam said that the youth in the district have less job opportunities and the industrial sector had become a hope for them. However, the industries are employing the outsiders and the locals have been neglected in respect of jobs. |
