JAMMU, September 13: United Democratic Alliance J&K nominated Rajiv Mahajan as Convener of the Alliance.
During a core-group meeting of the UDA held on Sunday, members unanimously nominated Rajiv Mahajan as Convener for further strengthening the Alliance's works.
"The people of Jammu have been subjected to discrimination of the Kashmir rulers who have always picked up some opportunist elements of Jammu to govern, loot and squeeze the people of Jammu," Rajiv said.
He added that the people of Jammu region have been suffering in the hands of the Kashmiri leadership for the last over seven decades.
He appealed to the Jammuites who have suffered for seven decades to join UDA to show their strength to such parties which always adopted discriminatory attitude toward Jammu region.
He said all other parties made promises to the people of Jammu during the elections to befool the people of Jammu and UDA will fight for the discrimination with Jammu region.
