EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Sept 13: Dr Anil Bhat, Assistant Professor, Agricultural Economics, SKUAST-Jammu and Dr Arvind Ishar, Sr Scientist and Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Rajouri have brought laurels to the institute by receiving best paper presentation awards. Dr Bhat got best poster presentation research paper award while Dr Ishar, Sr Scientist and Head, KVK Rajouri received best oral presentation award during the International Web Conference held w.e.f Sept. 11-12, 2020 on "Resource Management and Biodiversity Conservation to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals" organized by Academy of Natural Resource Conservation and Management, Lucknow through online mode. The award was announced Prof Sanjay Arora, Secretary ANRCM, Lucknow in the presence of Dr Atul K Singh, President, ANRCM, Dr V P Singh, Vice President, ANRCM, Prof Sanjay Swami and Dr. Nilay Borah, Organizing Secretaries, web Conference. More than 350 delegates from more than a dozen countries participated in the Web Conference. The paper presented by Dr Anil Bhat entitled "Effect of COVID-19 pandemic on Agri Start-ups" discussed about the survival and future of agri start-ups during and post COVID pandemic. The paper also discussed about the working of start-ups on main pillars such as revenue, profitability, cost-cutting, capital efficiency, business model etc and challenges they have to face for bringing changes in these pillars. The paper gave suggestions and solution to the issues mentioned above. The paper presented by Dr Arvind Ishar, Sr. Scientist and Head, KVK Rajouri discussed about the Role of Tribals of Rajouri and Poonch district in Conservation of Bio-Diversity especially Medicinal Plants. |
