Udhampur, Sep 14: Initiating today with first of the series of the fortnight activities on Hindi Pakhwada, The PG and UG Department of Hindi of the college under the Guidance of Principal Prof. Subash Chander Organised a slogan writing competition, in which the students of the UG and PG Department participated with great zeal and fervor. Out of the total twenty participants, Ajay Kumar BA Sem-III, Neha Jamwal PG Sem-IV, Pooja Devi PG- Sem-3, were adjudged 1st , 2nd and Third, whereas Mamta Kumari, Shivali of PG Sem-3 were given consolation prizes. Prof. Suresh K. Dogra, Dr. Pankaj Sharma and Dr. Yash Sharma were the adjudicators for the event. In his Presidential message, the Principal appreciated the Hindi department, participants and their zeal for the Rashtra Bhasha Hindi. He apprised all about the importance given to Hindi and other native language in the New Education Policy shunning the total dependence and importance given to one particular language.
