| Militant, PSO killed after BJP worker’s house attacked | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Oct 6: An unidentified militant and a Personal Security Officer (PSO) of a BJP worker was killed after militants attacked a BJP worker in Nunar area of Ganderbal on Monday evening.
“The (militant) fired upon one BJP worker at Nunar Ganderbal. He is safe,” police said in a tweet, “However his one PSO was injured in this incident. One unidentified militant got killed in PSOs retaliation,” police said in a tweet.
Reports said PSO identified as constable Altaf Hussain has been shifted in “critical” condition to SKIMS Soura.
However, injured policeman succumbed to injuries at SKIMS, reports said.
22 yrs old Altaf Hussain is said to be a resident of Eidgah Srinagar.
In the attack, BJP worker identified as Gulam Qadir Rather a resident of Nunar Ganderbal escaped unhurt. He is District Vice President of BJP In Ganderbal. |
