B2V programme held at Khour block | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 6: A Back to village 3 programme was started by Ram Savak, KAS Director Horticulture Jammu at Lower Narayana Panchyat of Khour Block. During his visit, he patiently listened the issues and demands raised by the inhabitants of Panchyat including PRI’s. Main problems raised by the people were regarding shortage of power supply and scarcity of quality drinking water. Some of the issues were redressed on the spot while rest of the grievances and issues raised shall be conveyed to the concerned authorities for redressal. Director also distributed the fruit plants to 300 beneficiaries @ 3 fruit plants per household under Back Yard Plantation programme of Horticulture department on 90% subsidy and advised them to come forward and avail the maximum benefits under various government sponsored schemes for their overall socio economic upliftment. Moreover, a mobile soil testing laboratory was made available at the venue by the department of Horticulture for on spot analysis of the soil samples so that the farmers can get the status of their soil and accordingly apply balanced dose of the fertilizers in their field. Sub. Divisional Magistrate Khour and BDC Chairman along with officers / officials of other departments were also present on the occasion. |
