Tajinder expresses concern over growing unemployment | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 13: Expressing concern over growing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir Social Activist Sardar Tajinder Singh that simmering discontent amongst the unemployed educated youth had assumed alarming proportions. Reminding the government of its loud pronouncements and lofty promises during election of providing two crore jobs per year with job security for atleast one member of each family,Singh said that youth of J&K feeling cheated and betrayed. Singh said growing unrest among young generation is a warning signal for govt.which needed to full fill it's promises to youth who voted heavily in its favour on the strength of its slogans. Expressing his indignation over the betrayal of educated youth by the government, Tajinder drew the attention of LT. Governor towards the plight of around 20,000pharmacist and medical assistant who were being recognition in the respect of the courses completed by them after reorganization of state and its conversion as UT while govt. Of India had allowed registration and licensing of those with mere experience of medical practitioners without any formal qualification by the virtue of recent notification, the candidates who had passed the pharmacist courses under j&k pharmacy Act were being refused such recognition on the pretext that central pharmacy Act had come into operation in j&k. Tajinder singh said that govt.should immediately advertise one lac posts for absorption of youths in consonance with its parroted slogans, the issue of other underemployed youth needed to be address on priority.singh called for early regularization of daily rated workers of PHE,PWD,PDD, Forests the temporary employees of aganwari,asha workers, spo and nyc. |
