JAMMU, Nov 9: A delegation led by Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Purnima Sharma called on Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation comprising of Baldev Singh Billawaria, Parmod Kapahi and Sh. Jeet Kumar Angral - JMC Councillors submitted a memorandum of demands and discussed important issues of Jammu Municipal Corporation. The issues raised by the delegation included strengthening of JMC with additional staff, installation of additional LED streetlights in Jammu, provision of additional spaces for solid waste management, land transfer issues and other matters pertaining to the working of JMC.
The major projects of Jammu City including artificial lake, restoration of Mubarak Mandi Complex and Tawi River Front among others were also discussed by the delegation.
