CF appeals Chief Justice to make special arrangements for hearing of cases | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 12: Citizen’s Forum (CF) has requested the Chief Justice of J&K High Court and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to make some suitable arrangements for hearing the cases in the High Court and other subordinate courts. R K Chadha President of Citizen’s forum said, “The litigants are suffering because of the disposal of cases which were in final stages of hearing have become negligible”. The cases are listed in more than 300 numbers and are lifted only 20 to 30 in a day. “We request the court should allow case hearing in Person , one at a time present in the court room by Lawyer or a Litigant. The cases be not listed more than 15 to 20 in number. Only those lawyers having the case should be allowed to come to court”, they said, adding that young lawyers are suffering by not having the company of their senior advocate to learn and get experienced and also their income and are made to sit idle without having their own chambers. Citizen’s Forum requested LG Manoj Sinah to kindly arrange loan of Rs. 50000 for them to construct their own chambers and run their day to day expenditure till better times. |
