Jammu, Nov 20: Heavenly Shepherd Memorial Cup Cricket tournament organised by Zion Sports Club at St Peter’s school Karan Bagh Jammu. The opening ceremony commenced with the prayers and inaugurated by SP South Deepak Digra and Prominent Social Activist Chandan Datta . Today’s match held between RS Pura team and Akhnoor team. RSPURA team played firstly and gave a target of 73 runs in 12 overs and Akhnoor team played well and lost match by 5 runs . Man if the match is Goldy from RS Pura. Deepak Digra said such tournament may increase the morale of youth and best platform to flourish their talent. He congratulated ALL J&K Christian Sabha for this initiative to involve youth in sports activities. Datta said sports activities are very much required to make our youth fit physically and mentally so that they may contribute for the society and Nation.
Also this will inspire our youth to indulge in sports and stay away from drug abuse. The other members present were Fr.Mathew Thomas, Fr. Shaiju Chacko, Fr.John Paul, Fr.Premful Tigga who has also inspired youth towards sports and Ashu Peter Mattoo (President-All J&K Christian Sabha), Sunny Khokhar -General Secretary, Rohit Rockes -Vice president, Pt. Raj Kumar, Ketan, Sebastian, Shine, Emanuel were also present in occasion. |
