Holistic development of J&K top priority of Apni Party: Altaf Bukhari
12/8/2020 11:40:08 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT

SRINAGAR, Dec 7: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday said that besides restoration of Statehood, comprehensive domicile laws for protection of land and jobs; the agenda of his Party revolves around holistic and equitable development of all the regions and sub-regions of Jammu and Kashmir.
Campaigning for Apni Party contesting candidates in the ongoing District Development Councils (DDC) polls, Bukhari addressed a public meeting at Chadoora in district Budgam.
He was accompanied by Party Vice President Zaffar Iqbal Manhas, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, state secretary and district president Muntazir Mohi-ud-Din, media advisor Farooq Andrabi, Party leaders Ghulam Nabi Namthali, Mushtaq Zuhama, Javed Junaid and the Party’s contesting candidates of Chadoora.
Addressing the meeting, Bukhari said that the era of emotive politics is over and the people have realized that they have been exploited to the hilt by the political parties who have been in power in J&K since decades.
“Seeing the results of indifferent and apathetic attitude of the political parties who ruled Jammu and Kashmir for decades and have failed to improve its developmental index; Apni Party pledges to implement its developmental plans in letter and spirit on the ground,” he remarked.
Bukhari said that development in all the regions and sub regions of J&K, urban and rural areas alike, has become a big casualty due to self-centric approach of political parties who are unfortunately again trying to hoodwink the public opinion by making false and misleading promises and indulging in emotive politics.
“DDC elections are purely meant for holistic development of a district and can’t be assumed as some kind resolution to any political issues.
The people should exercise their franchise and make the successful candidates accountable for their developmental needs in their respective areas,” Bukhari added.
Exhorting the people to participate in large numbers in the ongoing DDC elections, Bukhari said, a vote to the Apni Party will be a vote in support of development with dignity and honour for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on this occasion, Party’s vice president Zaffar Iqbal Manhas said that regional political parties have failed to deliver on their political promises made with the people whenever they came to power in J&K.
He said that Apni Party under the leadership of Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari is committed for an equitable development in Jammu and Kashmir and it would ensure that there is no discrimination done in this regard on regional basis.
