Manju Singh condemns BJP for vandalizing Panthers Party Office | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 12: Strongly condemning the BJP for vandalizing the NPP Office at Jammu today, Manju Singh General Secretary JKNPP sought appropriate punitive action against the offenders who trespassed into the Party Office, causing damage to office property, furniture and fixtures. The unauthorized entry of the BJP sponsored female trespassers was highly objectionable and condemnable besides being violative of the law. If the BJP had any grouse against NPP leadership, it could have adopted a proper procedure to ventilate its feelings. But ransacking an office by forcible entry, threatening the office boys and damage to office property was a heinous offence which needed due cognizance of authorities concerned. In a democracy everyone has the right to protest and to hold demonstrations, observed Manju Singh. But no one has the authority to take law in his/her hands. The BJP workers and its leadership are therefore squarely liable for their criminal conduct and need to be dealt with under law. Manju Singh further questioned the criminal silence of BJP leadership over the physical assault besides filthy abuses hurled upon her by drunken BJP workers at the behest of an Ex-BJP MLA on 5th December. She said that the drunken fellow who had hurled highly objectionable abuses upon her besides physically assaulting her had admitted that he had been instigated by an Ex-BJP MLA. She regretted that despite registration of FIR against the “rowdy and notorious” MLA, no action had been taken against him by the authorities concerned. In the meanwhile, NPP today filed FIR against the BJP leadership including its President Ravinder Raina for instigating and abetting the commission of offences in NPP Office today by its sponsored workers. |
