Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 12: The Cluster University Jammu has been bringing disgrace with each passing day as the meritorious students are allegedly being shunted out of admission merit list.
The main objective of setting up Cluster University to provide opportunities to the students for higher studies, has literally been defeated with the mismanagement of the administration, which has been harrassing students by not giving admission.
An aspirant girl student, who had applied for the admission in Cluster University online was denied admission, despite having academic merits and the low merit students were given admission.
Preferring anonymity, she told Early Times that she was shocked to find out that her name was dropped out of the merit list and low merit aspirants were given admission. "When I contacted the office administration regarding it, they said that there was some mistake while filling up form online, I told them that I had already filed an application three times," she alleged further adding that she was asked to use other methods to get admission.
She further alleged that the University administration is also involved with cyber cafes, which are recommended for filing admission forms and deliberately making mistakes due to which students had to visit them again and again.
When Early Times contacted the concerned officials, they said that they would look into the matter and if such things were found, the accused would be taken to task.
