| Councillor inaugurates development works | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 27: Councillor of Ward -69 of Sainik Colony Gurmeet Kour Randhawa today inaugurated the work of construction of drains and culvert at Sainik Colony worth Rupees five Lakhs.
The specific area was getting waterlogged during Monsoon and water was getting into our houses for the last 20 years.
All efforts to remove this water logging failed to materialise except fake promises by previous functionaries. The residents, present during the kick-starting of work appreciated the systematic approach of Councillor Gurmeet Kour Randhawa in handling the works and cooperation of the department.
The councillor assured the resident that she will leave no stone unturned to ensure development of the Colony.
She appealed to the PDD department to install streetlights along the Nala and PHE department to repair the non-functional tube wells and partial functioning tube wells to overcome water scarcity of Sainik Colony.
