Charge-sheet filed against man for forging signature of ex-CM to regularize daily wagers | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Dec 28: The Crime Branch on Monday filed a chargesheet against a ‘self styled’ president of the Daily Wagers Union J&K for allegedly using forged letter pad of the then chief minister in 2014 for regularization of the daily wage workers of Rural Development Department in Jammu and Kashmir. Official sources said that the chargesheet against the accused Ghulam Mohammad Wani, a resident of Anantnag, was filed before the Court of Forest Magistrate Srinagar. They said the case was registered in 2014 when the then chief minister’s Secretariat lodged a complaint regarding the use of fake and forged letter pad of Omar Abdullah. They said the accused had also forged the signatures of Mr Abdullah and the then Director Rural Development Department Jammu and Kashmir. The accused prepared and forwarded the fake list of Daily Wage Workers to senior officials for their regularization,” they added. |
