| Corporator Ward No 42 starts upgradation work of drainage system | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 28: Vijay Choudhary, Corporator of ward-42 along with Ch. Manmohan Singh, today started the work of construction and upgradation of the drainage system in sector-1 Lane number-9 of their ward in the presence of AEE JMC Ashok Sharma and Manjot singh junior Engineer.
The cost of this work is approximately Rs. 7.50 lakhs. Choudhary said that this was a long pending demand of the local residents.
She informed the gathering that the black toping of every lane and by-lane has been completed within two years of her tenure except lane number no-10 of the same sector.
Black toping and construction of the drain of the said lane is under process for tender.
She assured the residents that in the coming summer season it would be started and completed and this work is already on her priority.
Choudhary told the gathering that the upgradation work of drainage system of gali-no 5,6&7 has also completed on the request of the local residents by her from her allotted funds.
Choudhary assured the local residents that all the chocked and damaged drains will be repaired in the coming days. The locals raised some problems regarding sanitation in the sub lanes.
Corporator immediately directed the concerned Supervisor Subash Gill to take necessary action and asked him to visit the lane and sub lane daily to access progress of the sanitation system.
