| UCS alleges substandard work in Devika Beautification Project | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, Dec 28: Udhampur Civil Society members have expressed concern over the execution of sub standard work and frequent alteration in Devika project map . They have demanded intervention of Dr Jitender Singh and Deputy Commissioner Udhampur in this regard so that quality of work be maintained and work be executed as per approved plan .
Civil Society Member of Udhampur held a meeting here under Ranjit Parihar in which they alleged that substandard work is being executed on Davika project and despite approved site plan , site plan is frequently being altered without taking proper sanction from any Higher authorities . Society members alleged that quality of work on banks is so poor that concrete laid on banks automatically got uprooted within one month's time .
Members alleged that It is quite astonishing that frequently alteration is being made in the entire Devika project plan without approval of any higher authorities or deliberation with stakeholders and construction work is being executed on already constructed old structures . Members also shown concern over the sewerage pipeline being laid under Pollution Abatement of River Devika project.
They said that roads of city have been duged in an unplanned manner due to which the public is suffering badly. |
