Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 4: Hailing the announcement of J&K getting back several power projects from NHPC, former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Kavinder Gupta on Monday asserted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are reaping the benefits of the wave of development after the revocation of Article 370. Urging the people of the union territory to make the best use of enormous Schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Government, Gupta said that the pace of development will not stop under his visionary leadership. "On one hand, BJP-led government is putting an end to corruption, atrocities and violence in Jammu and Kashmir, it is also making way for industries, private investments and employment generation, while at the same time ensuring that the residents of the union territory are able to unlock the complete benefits of the historic decisions taken by the Centre in past two years," Gupta said. Referring to the signing of MoUs for power projects worth Rs 34,000 crore as a 'watershed moment' in the history of Jammu and Kashmir, Gupta said that this was just one step in the series of initiatives taken by the government to lead the UT on the path of development and growth," Kavinder said in a statement issued today. "Soon, the people of Jammu and Kashmir will get round-the-clock electricity," Gupta asserted. Reiterating that the Centre has launched multiple schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP), AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme, Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi) Scheme, and several others, Gupta exhorted upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir to reap the maximum benefits of these scheme for their overall upliftment. "The BJP-led government at the Centre and leadership in the UT is keen for the overall development of J&K which has so far suffered at the hands of the dynasty rulers. With the revocation of Article 370, a major hurdle has been erased and now is the time for the people to unlock the benefits of that historic decision," Gupta said. |
