Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 5: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) demanded opening of Wandhama, Nadimarg, Sangrampura massacres and other KPs killing cases which were closed down more than two decades ago and no one was held accountable, responsible and punished, so for, despite of repeated demand of victim KP community leadership, in particular by KPC for an impartial probe and responsible killers and conspirators to be held accountable, punished and hanged.
While condemning the ignoring attitude of the central and union territory governments towards the plight and demands of displaced KP community, Kundan Kashmiri, President KPC in a meeting at New Delhi stated that they (displaced KPs) are not treated at par with all citizens of India nation which can simply judge from the treatment given to them in exile from the last thirty one years and being a minuscule minority, do not form a vote bank, so leaders in helm of affairs and political parties consider them useless. Kundan Kashmiri further said that their petty land holdings were snatched from them under the guise of so called progressive land reforms, distress sale and encroachments which gave a severe jolt to the economic standing of the victim community as the land was taken from them without any alternative rehabilitation and compensation. Later their PM package was deliberately delayed, KP youths on dharna from long for employment and enhance of their monthly relief are unheard, overage youths suffering crunch, their political standing share in top levels of bureaucracy is negligible.. The future of the displaced community is uncertain and their present is full of misery and distress.
