Jammu, Jan 5: The Minority Department of JKPCC today strongly condemned the Government decision of quashing quota of OBC/SC/ST students in Private Medical Colleges. This shows the non-seriousness of Modi Govt. towards the plights of downtrodden people of various communities, it said . In a meeting held under the leadership of Sardar Gurdarshan Singh, Vice Chairman, it demanded installation of Minority Commission in JK Union Territory so that benefit of various central schemes for minorities reach to the minority people. S. Gurdarshan Singh appealed to people of minority community in JK UT to come forward and join the congress party which is the only party who fight for the rights of the minorities. Two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to the farmers who were killed in ongoing “Kissan Andolan” while agitating for their rights. The meeting attended by Michael Wazir- Coordinator J&K UT, Jagjit Singh Rimple- Chairman Dist. Jammu, Balwinder Singh Rinku, Davinder Sandu, Harbans Gurmeet Singh, Ajinder Pal Singh Pappu, Atul Shekhar, Manpreet Singh, Nasir Masih, Kampa Singh, Honey Singh, Deepu Singh and others.
