Jasvir assures to develop DDC, Panchari-Moungri as model region of J&K | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 10: Regretting that successive regimes have neglected Panchari-Moungri belt of Udhampur district, newly elected member of the District Development Council (DDC), Jasvir Singh on Sunday assured that a comprehensive plan for overall development of this belt would be formed very soon. Inhabitants of Panchari-Moungri belt have reposed faith in him by rejecting powerful and resourceful candidates of the mainstream parties. “I will work with dedication to come-up to the expectations of the people”, he said and added that with the support of locals he will develop this neglected belt as an ideal region. Listing his priorities, Jasvir Singh said developing health, education and road network were his focused areas. He regretted that Degree Colleges were opened in many undeserving areas due to political considerations but Panchari-Moungri belt was ignored. He demanded separate Government Degree Colleges for Tehsil Panchari and Moungri. He also demanded Higher Secondary Schools at Panjar and Gailote. Pointing towards the health sector in this belt, Jasvir Singh demanded up-gradation of the existing health institutes besides deputing doctors and para medical staff. Observing that his region has huge tourism potential, Jasvir Singh, demanded that Panchari –Moungri should be developed as a tourist destination and this area should be connected with a tourism corridor of J&K. |
