JTC takes out "Kaffan rally" at Jagti

Jammu, Jan 10: To press their demands strong protest and shroud rally (kaffan rally) was held at Jagti township by the Jagti tenement Committee, Soan Kashmir front J&K under the leadership or its president Shadi Lal Pandita. Protesters blocked Jagti Road for two hours and warned the state and center government to meet their demands immediately . The leaders and members wearing shrouds on their bodies, heads and arms demanded increase in the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month. Addressing the protesters Shadi Lal Pandita said BJP government is persecuting Kashmiri Pandits while the KPs have been living in exile for the last 31 years, but the government has not solved their problems till date . He said Kashmiri Pandit migrant educated, unemployed youth are worried and their lives have become difficult. We demand that a Job be given to those houses /families in which no family member has got a job till date therefore, a new package of 20,000 posts should be announced for such unemployed youths.
