Jammu, Jan 18: Career Counseling Cell, Govt. Degree College Billawar in collaboration with Employment Information cum Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu, organized one-day career awareness programme through virtual mode. The programme was held under the overall supervision of Kavita Suri, Director, DLL, University of Jammu. The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Sanjeev Kumar Gupta, Principal of the College. He also welcomed the guests and appreciated the efforts of DLL for the organization of this programme in this far-flung college. The special resource persons were Rocky Gupta, department of Electronics University of Jammu, Sadaf Shah, Department of English and Rewa Khajuria, Counselor, EIAB, DLL, JU. Rockey Gupta informed the students about various career options and job opportunities in Science and also updated them about various competitive examinations. Shadf Shah in her presentation apprised the students about career options in English after graduation, post-graduation and Ph.d. Rewa Khajuria explained the importance of career counselling. The programme was attended by staff and students of the college through offline and virtual modes. Various teaching faculty members were also present in the hall. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Arun Sharma, convener Career Counseling Cell, GDC Billawar, whereas technical support was provided by Shiv Khajuria and Sunil Singh. A formal vote of thanks was also presented by the head of the institution Sanjeev K. Gupta. |
