DB issues directions in PIL on maintaining student-teacher ratio in schools | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 16: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by All Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Teacher Federation seeking direction to State for framing policy for maintaining student-teacher ratio in the schools without any discrimination and implement the same in true letter and spirit. A Division Bench of J&K High Court Jammu Wing comprising Chief Justice Pankaj Mithal and Justice Javed Iqbal Wani after hearing Sr. Adv Pranav Kohli with Adv Arun Dev Singh for the PIL whereas AAG Ravinder Gupta for the Education Department, directed to file another report as to the status of all the projects. This significant direction has been passed by Division Bench after noticing that a fresh status report was filed by respondent No. 1 on 13.05.2019 and observed that in respect of various infrastructure projects mentioned therein, it is not clear whether those projects have been completed. —JNF |
