Jammu , Feb 16: Central University of Jammu Teachers’ Association (CUJTA) celebrated Basant Panchami. The programme started with lamp lightening and Saraswati Poojan by the senior member of the CUJTA, Prof. Ashok Aima, Vice-chancellor and Prof. Devanand, President of CUJTA along with office bearers and teachers. In his address Prof. Ahok Aiama wished the entire faculty and said that the teachers need to grow out of the dependency syndrome. He assured to resolve all the pending grievances and issues at the earliest.
The president of CUJTA, Prof. Devanand presented the charter of demands and appreciated the contributions of the teachers to the university. On this occasion, the deans of various faculties Prof. BS Bhau, Prof. Mustaq Ahmad expressed their views for the growth and development of the faculties of CUJ. The event was witnessed by Prof. Sunil Dhar, Prof. Rasal Singh, Prof. Jaya Bhasin, and heads and faculties of various departments of CUJ. Earlier Dr. Ritu Baakshi, General Secretary of CUJTA delivered the welcome address and appraised the recent developments of the Association. The proceeding of the event was coordinated by Dr. Sweta Kohli, Treasurer, CUJTA; and vote of thanks was proposed by the Jt. General Secretary, Dr. Pragati Kumar. |
