Jammu, Feb 16: Govt. Degree College Sidhra, under the patronage of Principal Monika Sharma organized an Extension Lecture on “Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Triggering Young Minds” today.
The resource person for the lecture was Isha Sharma, Assistant Professor, ICccR and Human Resource Management, University of Jammu. The lecture started with a welcome address by. Harpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor in political science.
The resource person started her lecture by discussing how by developing ‘Creativity and Innovation’ the young minds can create numerous job opportunities for themselves.
She threw light on the various successful startups like Ola, Uber, Zomato, Swiggy and Amazon and how they are adding value to money.
Closer to the end of the lecture the students had a vibrant and lively discussion with the resource person regarding their queries.
The programme was organized by the Department of Commerce of the college. The lecture ended with a vote of thanks by Anu Chadha, Lecturer, Department of Commerce. |
