Beware: J&K witnesses upward trend in Corona positive cases
During the last few days fresh positive cases in UT have surpassed the number of patients recovered from the deadly virus.

Jammu, Feb 18: Even as authorities have started taking deadly Coronavirus casually, J&K witnessed a surge in the positive cases during the last some days. During this period the number of positive cases surpassed the number of patients recovered from the Coronavirus.
As per official handout issued this evening, J&K reported 87 fresh covid-19 cases, 44 among them travellers, even as three persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. 11 cases were reported from Jammu division and 76 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total case tally to 125634.
48 cases are reported from Srinagar, 11 from Jammu, Baramulla 6, Budgam 10, Pulwama 6, Bandipora 3, Shopian 2 and Anantnag 1. However, no case has been reported in the remaining 12 districts of J&K.
There were three fresh deaths in the Valley due to the virus during the last 24 hours, taking the number of people succumbing to the virus in J&K to 1954—725 in Jammu and 1229 in the Valley.
Moreover, 53 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals, 19 from Jammu division and 34 from Kashmir Valley. So far 122992 people have recovered— 50931 in Jammu and 72061 in the valley.
