EARLY TIMES REPORT

JAMMU, Mar 3: A Show Cause notice issued by Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Reasi to Block Development Officer (BDO) Katra for remaining absent from duty without prior permission and displaying poor performance has created flutter in the department.
ACD Reasi had issued the show cause notice to BDO Katra along with three other employees of the block office for remaining absent without permission and directed the alleged officer and others to explain their position and in case their failure their one day salary will be deducted.
The Assistant Commissioner has further issued notice to one more officer and treated her as absent as she failed to submit her attendance timely. The action of the ACD Reasi was taken on the complaint of PRIs during the meeting. It was also mentioned in the notice that Block has the lowest performance in various parameters under MGNREGA like PDs generation, timely payments, work completion, Aadhaar Seeding and estimation. The notice further reads that while scrutinizing MPR’s it has been observed that other schemes like B2V-1, B2V-3 and 14th FC are suffering badly due to lackadaisical approach in implementation of flagship programmes of GoI and UT of J&K.
When ACD Reasi was contacted by Early Times, he said that the action has been initiated on the basis of complaint by PRIs during block divas at Katra last Wednesday and absence from duty is no excuse during working hours.
