Despite repeated requests for repatriation 3 teachers of Lower Hathal continue to be attached at Jammu | | | Ajay Sharma Early Times Report
SUNDERBANI, Mar 11: The directions of the people at helm to the education department to cancel all the attachments in the department has few takers more so in this tehsil of Rajouri district with the education system going for a six. Sources told Early Times that at least three teachers continue to be attached at Jammu since the past four years even though they are posted in the Lower Hathal education zone of this tehsil. These teachers are drawing salary while enjoying at Jammu with the students suffering for want of quality education. “Two general line teachers and a Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teacher have been attached to Jammu even though they are posted in schools in the Lower Hathal zone of Rajouri. Despite repeated reminders these teachers have not been detached and they continue to enjoy the winter capital of the union territory of Jammu & Kashmir,” said sources. Sources said the locals had raised the issue in the past with the higher ups of the education department with the hope that the teachers would be detached so that the education system comes back on track in the education zone of Lower Hathal. They said that no action has been taken so far with the students suffering. The locals have appealed Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene in the matter and order for detachment of the ReT teacher and the two general line teachers. When contacted the concerned Zonal Education Officer Lower Hathal said the matter does not pertain to him and the decision in this regard has to be taken by the higher ups of the department. |
