| Kathua, Mar 11: Anti drug unit Kathua recovered 23 grams of heroin like substance in the jurisdiction of Kathua Police station and arrested three accused along with the seized contraband on spot. A joint team of Anti Drug Unit Kathua and PS Kathua during patrolling duty near Railway Line Logate Morh Kathua found three persons roaming in suspicious condition. Sensing the situation, these persons tried to flee who were chased and were finally nabbed by the police party on spot. On physical search, 23 grams of heroin like contraband was recovered from the possession of all the accused viz Sunil Kumar @vicky S/o Mani Ram R/o ward no 2 Kathua 8grams,Abhay Rai S/o Sukhwinder Rai R/o Deeda Sansiya Deenagar 9 grams and Rohit S/o Mohinder Paul R/o Logate Morh Tehsil and District Kathua 8grams,thus making a total of 23grams of heroin like contraband substance. All the accused were arrested. On this cognizance, a case FIR No. 122/2021 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act, stands registered at concerned police station and further investigation is under process. |
