Chargesheet filed against HM militant, 3 OGWs in Kashmir | | | Early Times Report
Srinagar, Mar 11: Police on Thursday filed a chargesheet against a Hizbul Mujahideen militant and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) in central Kashmir district of Ganderbal. A police spokesperson said that Ganderbal Police along with 5 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) busted a HM module by arresting three militant associates, identified as Arshid Ahmad Khan, Majid Rasool Rather and Mohammad Aasif Najar in Ganderbal on September 14. “The trio was arrested for hatching criminal conspiracy for militant acts, harbouring militants and giving support to the proscribed HM,” he said. He said that investigation revealed that the arrested trio had came into contact with a Pak based Kashmiri militant, identified as Fayaz Ahmad Khan, and were being handled by him from across the border to take up various militants and subversive activities in the district. “After conclusion of investigations, necessary Government sanction was obtained and accordingly chargesheet has been filed before the Competent Court by Ganderbal Police U/s 7/25 IAA, 13, 18, 20, 23, 39, UA(P)A against four accused persons,” he added.
