JAMMU, Mar 13: In its first endeavour on the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, Writers Group Udhampur has come up with a novel arrangement on the literary front to provide a joint platform to the budding and aspiring writers with their poetic presentation.
Ninteen young and promising writers drawn from diversified acumen on the poetic front have compiled a book entitled 'Nayi Udaan' which has a vast depth in renditions of their works that is all likely to catch up with the peoples' imagination.
The book is being released at K L Saigal Hall on Sunday , March 14 under the august presence of Jammu Mayor , Chander Mohan Gupta as the chief guest and other dignitaries .
Anu Atri , president Writers Group Udhampur informed that the book is likely to be first of its kind on the UT milieu as it being presented in both languages viz Hindi and Dogri.
"We as the team at Writers Group Udhampur put in all efforts to produce a piece of art in a book form where young and aspirant poets and writers could get good platform to show their latent potential. The book contains nineteen works of different poets and we are hopeful that the readers will get an assortment of colours and hues ," said Anu Atri. The other significant as aspect of 'Nayi Udaan' is that most of the participants are new contributors having little recognition in the field of art and Kalamkaar promises them a strong and inviting future ahead through this compilation.
Anu Atri said that at Kalamkaar - Writers Group Udhampur, there has always been the efforts envisaged that new and latent talent could be found out and provided an appropriate platform so that Jammu and Kashmir which treasures rich culture and heritage could boasts its presence on national as well as international level.
Prof Veena Gupta , Savita Chib, Arvinder Singh Amn, Ramesh Marhatha and Varun Veer are the distinguished dignitaries who will preside over the function that opens 11 a.m. at K L Saigal Hall on Sunday, March 14.
