JAMMU, Mar 13: The annual Maha Shivratri Festival 2021 concluded today with the hosting of a Dangal at Peerkho.
The annual Maha Shivratri Festival 2021 was organized by Tourism Department in collaboration with District Administration & Peerkho Mandir committee at Peerkho from March 10, 2021.
Tourism Department along with the District Administration Jammu has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the festival. The Festival hosted a variety of programmes which inter alia included cultural events depicting local folk dances organized through J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages; food stalls of Dogra cuisines; departmental stalls of Handicraft, Handloom, Industries & Commerce, JKTDC and Agriculture Department etc.
The Shivratri Festival was organized simultaneously at Ransoo (Shivkhori). Also, for the first time, Maha Shivratri Festival was celebrated at Purmandal & the unique initiative of Tourism Department will surely project Purmandal as a highly revered Shiva Shrine.
