Jammu, Mar 13: 3 days vertical interaction course (VIC) on “Smart Policing” which was inaugurated on 09-03-2021, at S.K. Police Academy Udhampur, by Sujit Kumar, IPS, DIG Udr/Reasi Range culminated today.
A total of 17 officers of the rank Dy.SP to Sr.SP participated in the said course. Smart policing programme is primarily a concept of combination of intelligent implementation of innovations in policing technology while at the same time incorporating it with existing policies.
The course was aimed at to encourage frequent deliberations among the senor police officers regarding the maximum use of technology in the crime detection/investigation, strict implementation of laws, developing attitude and responsibility toward general public, etc.
During these three days, deliberations were made on various topics like Concept of Smart Policing, Community Policing, Police Public Interface, Cyber Crime, Safety of women, Human Trafficking, etc.
The guest speakers who spoke on the said topics and interacted with the officers.
