| Anantnag, Ganderbal win top positions | | UT- level carrom tourney concludes | |

Ramban, Mar 17: Inter-district, UT-level Carrom competition for boys under 17 and 19 age groups organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports concluded at Ramban.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajni Sharma was the Chief Guest whereas I/c Principal of host school Ranjay Kumar was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the ASP advised the students to take part in sports activities apart from curricular activities for their overall personality development. She also appreciated the Youth Services and Sports Department for organizing a UT-level competition in which students from all the districts including Kashmir valley participated.
District Youth Services and Sport Officer, Dharmveer Singh informed that as many as 120 boys from 14 districts of both the divisions participated in the tourney.
Under 19 year age group, the team from Ganderbal bagged the first position while Pulwama and Baramula secured second and third positions respectively.
Similarly in under 17 group Anantnag secured the first position while Kupwara and Ganderbal stood second and third position respectively.
Later, the ASP felicitated the winners and participants with mementos and certificates
