Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 22: India's cancer burden has been rising rapidly and is expected to increase further. The burden is in every region of the country. To provide best-in-class facilities to the people of the Jammu region and make them aware of preventive measures, early Screening, timely clinical intervention, and availability of advanced procedures & treatment, HCMCT Manipal Hospitals, New Delhi would be organising a Free Cancer Preventive Health Check-up Camp in City at Rotary Club, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. Apart from diagnostic tests for blood pressure, sugar, weight, ECG, and others, experts from the Oncology Department, which is a Centre of Excellence, of the Hospital would provide consultancy to the people. The experts would also make them aware of cancer-related issues. The Camp focuses on Cancer Prevention. As per the ICMR's projection, India's cancer burden could increase from 1.39 million to 1.57 million by 2025.
