Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 27: A five day-long Civil Defence (CD) basic training programme was concluded at village Jagti Nagrota, Jammu. During the Training 87 civilians of the area have been imparted the techniques of First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting and conduct of rescue operations during any disaster/eventuality. The training was carried on under close supervision of DySP Shashi Thakur, Dy Controller Civil Defence, Jammu. Speaking on the occasion, Dy. Controller Civil Defence Jammu highlights the importance and role of Civil Defence in the human life and also stressed upon the motto of the Civil Defence i.e, selfless services of C. D Volunteer to the nation as and when required. The training programme was organized in-coordination with R vijay Magotra Dy Divisional Wardwn . During his speech he appreciated the initiative taken by the Civil Defence organization in enlightening the civilians with regard to the techniques of First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting and conduct of rescue operations during any disaster/eventuality. Abha Jamwal, Sarpanch Jagti and Kishore Sharma Sarpanch Nagrota also appreciated the role of Civil Defence. They requested the Dy Controller to organize such type of awareness programme in their panchyat. Apart from Civil Defence Instructors/officials of RCDCC Jammu, Paramjeet Kumar Chief Warden CD Jammu, and R Vijay Magotra Dy Divisional Warden and Panch Amit Chalotra were also present on the occasion. |
