Vaccination in Udhampur: 25730 people received first jab, 7674 get both | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report
Udhampur, Mar 27: 25,730 people including Front Line Workers (FLWs), Health Care Workers (HCWs), senior citizens and other eligible persons were vaccinated the first dose of COVID-19 while 7,674 people got second dose of the vaccination at different health centres in Udhampur district. The health authorities announced the vaccination this year to safeguard the people from deadly COVID-19 pandemic. After getting vaccinated, Santosh Devi, Sarpanch Phangial informed that all Panchs of her Panchayat too received the jab today at Sub centre Phangial and about 119 people got vaccinated there. She appealed to the general public that all those who are eligible for the vaccination should get the jab at nearest health centre. The Sarpanch also asked the people of her area and other areas to maintain social distancing and wear face masks in public places in order to remain safe from the Corona infection. Deputy Chief Medical Officer Udhampur, Dr Simmi said the vaccination process is continuing normally in Udhampur and appealed the people who are eligible the vaccine come to get vaccinated. |
