Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 30: Drug de-addiction and rehabilitation cell of Government Degree College Ramgarh organized awareness campaign in the College premises to enable the students to fight against drug addiction. This campaign was organized under the guidance of Prof Meeru Abrol, Principal of the College. All the students of the college participated in the event enthusiastically. During the event, volunteers of the college showed placards on Nasha Mukt Bharat and raised slogans against drug addiction to made the students aware about the ill effects of addiction. Afterwards, a pledge was administered by Prof Risha Kumari to all the students to lead a drug free life, remain healthy and happy, say no to alcohol & tobacco. They also pledged to help their friends to say no to drugs. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Meeru Abrol said that consumption of drugs is illegal and can have an adverse effect on our body. It can affect us badly both physically and mentally. People often start with just tasting of these drugs and then end up getting addicted to it. Drug addiction makes students depressed. Aditi Khajuria, Seema Sharma, Sandeep Kumar, Shamsher Lal, Risha Kumari, Narinder Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Madhu Wala, Sahil Sharma and Lakshmi also actively participated in the event to make it successful . |
